A Two-parameter Balakrishnan Skew-normal Distribution
In this paper, we discuss a generalization of Balakrishnan skew-normal distribution with two parameters that contains the skew-normal, the Balakrishnan skew-normal and the two-parameter generalized skew-normal distributions as special cases. Furthermore, we establish some useful properties and two extensions of this distribution.
متن کاملBivariate Archimedean Copula Models for Censored Data in Non-Life Insurance
We describe a methodology based on Archimedean copulas for analyzing nonlife insurance data with censoring present. Specifically, we propose a graphical selection procedure for the nonparametric estimation of the generator. An actual loss-ALAE data set is used for the numerical illustrations and for comparisons of our approach to a few others.
متن کاملA Flexible Skew-Generalized Normal Distribution
In this paper, we consider a flexible skew-generalized normal distribution. This distribution is denoted by $FSGN(/lambda _1, /lambda _2 /theta)$. It contains the normal, skew-normal (Azzalini, 1985), skew generalized normal (Arellano-Valle et al., 2004) and skew flexible-normal (Gomez et al., 2011) distributions as special cases. Some important properties of this distribution are establi...
متن کاملcient Estimation in the Bivariate Normal Copula
Consider semiparametric bivariate copula models in which the family of copula functions is parametrized by a Euclidean parameter of interest and in which the two unknown marginal distributions are the in nite dimensional nuisance parameters The e cient score for can be characterized in terms of the solutions of two coupled Sturm Liouville equations In case the family of copula functions corresp...
متن کاملGoodness-of-fit Tests for Archimedean Copula Models
In this paper, we propose two tests for parametric models belonging to the Archimedean copula family, one for uncensored bivariate data and the other one for right-censored bivariate data. Our test procedures are based on the Fisher transform of the correlation coefficient of a bivariate (U, V ), which is a one-toone transform of the original random pair (T1, T2) that can be modeled by an Archi...
